Easter Walking

Hi Everyone

Daisy is almost 16 months old! Wow how time flies! She is now officially a toddler. She is walking a lot more than she is crawling now. She loves it. Every now and then she will get down to crawl but she is much more confident getting up and walking wherever she wants to go. She looks a little bit like a drunk - but much cuter. She has a real swagger :)
I have put some more photos on her April slide show of Easter and a few others of playing around the house. She is such a cutie (I'm not biased or anything).

We had a lovely time at Maureen and Ron's place at Ballina. The weather was rubbish a lot of the time. The Mt Warning climb was postponed due to heavy rain. We went to Byron on Saturday and Graham did a spot of snorkelling with his school mate Brad Woolcott. Fe and Daisy came over a bit later and had lunch at the park overlooking the beach (Bay Kebabs - yum!) and then we went out for lunch/coffee and cake with Brad and his wife Angela. Had a quick browse of the shops and then back to Brad's mum's place for a catch up with the little ones - Toby and Jennifer. Saturday night we went out with Brad and Ang for dinner in Lennox - just the 4 of us. It was great - nice and relaxing. Grandparents are great babysitters hey!

Sunday was miserable weather and so instead of climbing Mt Warning we met Chris Gentle (another school mate of Graham's) and his wife Kat and their kids Griffin and Frankie in Brunswick for some fish and chips for lunch. The weather was nice enough for a quick walk into town and then the rain came back so Kat and I and the kids sat and had a coffee on the footpath while the boys retrieved the cars for us.

While we were at Maureen and Ron's Daisy had a lovely time bonding with her grandparents - particularly Maureen. They spent quite a bit of time together. We think Daisy even started saying Nanna and Grandad while we were there.

Easter was exciting for Daisy - she loves chocolate!! The photos of Easter show one photo where Daisy is a bit wet under the eyes - she was not happy when I took an Easter egg away to unwrap it!! We had some friends over for a BBQ lunch on Easter Sunday. (After I took Daisy to mass and sat with Katrina and Liam - not a lot of time for praying :)) a lovely day was had by all. Today is a chocolate free day in the Jupp house cause we have eaten soooo much chocolate that we are going to explode if we don't have a day off. Daisy has been having a few tantrums lately. Shockers!! She did it yesterday in the shopping centre in Grafton - Thank goodness most of the shops were closed so I could just take her away from everyone and try to calm her down. Not sure if the tantrums are chocolate related or as a result of teething. Her top and bottom eye teeth are coming through it seems. Lets say it is all about teething - Poppy would have said that!!!

Check out the new additions to the April photos and keep well.

A while since the last update

Hi Everyone

Sorry it has been a while -busy life and all. Daisy is going great guns. She is learning new sounds and having a go at talking more - from memory she has these words under her belt - Kookaburra - yes that's right! Shoe, Shoo (meaning tissue), Shoo (meaning go away fly)  mumma, dadda, Sam. She has a go at gone, star, fish. She is not a fully fledged walker - she can walk but it seems she doesn't like to take risks (like someone else I know) she stands there with white toes from gripping while she thinks about it - and then usually gets down and crawls. She has walked about 8 steps at once though so I know she can do it - little bugger. She is so much fun - she was taking her nappies of the airer the other day in the corner of the dining room (out of sight) and then I came over and she got the "I've just been busted giggles".

Graham is enjoying his time with Daisy I think. It is good for them to have those days together when she gets to live "daddy style". (much more relaxed about routine etc). I miss her but think I would be nuts by now if I was at home full time. I reckon 2 days a week would be enough stimulation for me though but not enough $.

We are heading up to Ballina next weekend to see Graham's mum and dad and to go for a walk up Mt Warning. We were thinking of taking Daisy in our baby backpack but thought bugger that - she is bloody heavy and she wouldn't like being cooped up in the backpack for hours. Hopefully Maureen and Ron will look after her while we go for a walk.

Well, until next time.... bye bye x

Merry Christmas Everyone

Hi Everyone

Merry Christmas. We hope your Christmas is full of Peace, Joy and Love. We have not got around to sending out Christmas cards - sorry! This will have to do.

Thanks for showing an interest in Daisy's blog this year. I can't make any promises about how many blog entries will be coming next year as I am back to work ($!!) 3 days a week. (You are probably over my incessant bragging anyway!)

Be safe over the silly season.

Love
Fe, Graham, Daisy and Sam
