First health complaint

Hi Everyone

Now the title might freak people out - but nothing major. Our little girl got her first dose of conjunctivitis. She went to bed on Tuesday night with a little bit of muck in her eye and woke up on Wednesday morning with a swollen, red, pussy eye. Poor little chicken. It looked very uncomfortable but didn't seem to be bothering her too much. I didn't want to be a neurotic parent and go straight to the doctor so I looked it up on the internet and a few sites suggested it might be a good idea to take her to the doctor if the eyelid was red and swollen - which it was. So Daisy had her first trip to the doctor for an illness. She got some eye ointment prescribed which has worked wonders. Mind you I am not sure how I would go putting it in her eye if I had to by myself. Lucky Graham is around to help. She had to go back to be reviewed this morning and Dr Kramer saw her and got a cuddle and had his photo taken with her. I am sure Daisy will be the latest star on his facebook page :) He was happy with her progress and very impressed with her hair! She is gorgeous isn't she!

On Monday we had a few visitors. Joanne, Wayne, Tiarn and Jack, Geoff, Paddy and Charlotte came for lunch (Joanne and Geoff are my cousins from down south). It was lovely to see them all and great for them to meet Daisy. I can't believe how much the kids have grown up. Poor old Kylie had to work so she couldn't come for the road trip. Any way there was a conversation about a possible family reunion. Geoff deligated me to be the chief organiser cause I have so much time on my hands this year. Thanks Geoff. Let me know family - if you think it is a goer.

Daisy is sprouting a couple more teeth. My only concern is that they are not her two front top teeth. I think they are her eye teeth on the top. She is gonna look like a vampire!!!!!! My beautiful princess may look scary! I can just see and feel a little bit of white popping through.

Food is coming along great guns. She loves it! Only a couple of choke scares but she is still alive :)

Not sure if I mentioned Daisy has a jolly jumper. She loves it. We only put her in it for no more than 15 minutes at a time - not sure how good it is for babies but she has so much fun.

Any way that's all for now. See ya. xx

  1. Nice update... If there is a family reunion without us, we're going to burn something down when we get home... Make sure it's after October... Otherwise, it's great to hear more about little Daisy... She really is beautiful...
    love us
