Hi Everyone
It has been a while since the last post. Andrew and Jamie and Mum and Dad have arrived home so I have been a bit slack. Sorry.
Since I last wrote Daisy has made some new discoveries in her ability. She has moved from commando crawling to the much faster and more efficient full hand and knee crawling. This started almost straight after she was ten months old. She is now getting into mischief all over the place. She has started pulling herself up to standing on all kinds of things. She is also getting up stairs. What a clever little girl!!! Daisy's latest game is unpacking things - shopping bags, toy bins, laundry baskets etc. She loves discovering what is inside the container and getting it out and putting it on the floor. Now we just need to teach her to put it back in again (toys especially).
Daisy is developing so much personality and she is such a pleasure to be around. Some days I look forward to her waking up in the morning because I have started to miss her. Sad I know!!!!:)
The new found independence has led to more tears coming from Daisy. She cries when she falls over (and whoever comforts her gets a lovely cuddle), she cries when she is about to have her nappy changed and she cries when she is taken away from something she wants to play with or when something is taken from her. Poor little chicken - life is so hard for a ten and a half month old. Don't worry we are getting plenty of smiles too - it is just different for the baby who rarely cried to be a cry baby ;)
In the last month we have had a busy family life. Uncle Tony came up from Tasmania for a week's holiday. We had a lovely time with him, celebrating the Melbourne cup, bushwalking in Dorrigo, shopping in Bellingen and hanging around Mullaway. Nana and Grandad (Graham's parents) came down while he was here and we went out to dinner to celebrate their 50th Wedding anniversary. Congrats to Nana and Grandad!! We went for a picnic in the park in Woolgoolga while they were here too.
We had some sad news on Monday 8th November. Poppy (Daisy's Great Grandfather - Robert Thomas Hayes - Bob) passed away. He was a wonderful man and just loved little Daisy. Every time we went to visit him he would just light up when he saw her and would tell her what a beautiful girl she was. When Daisy wasn't around he would ask Nan and Ma and Opa "When is little Copper-top coming to visit again?" We will miss him dearly.
Last week was very sad but it was also a time for the whole family to get together and spend some time catching up. May Pop Rest in Peace!!
I have posted some more photos in the October slideshow and a whole stack of new ones in the November slide show. We hope you like them.
Kisses and Hugs
Fiona, Graham, Daisy and Sam (woof)
