It has been a little while since my last post. Daisy has had a rough week. The conjunctivitis came back on Monday of last week. She got a cough the night before. By Thursday afternoon the little darling had a temp around 39 degrees. I called the medical advice line "Health Direct Australia" 1800022222 to ask their advice on whether to take her to to doctor and they were great. They were very helpful and I would recommend their advice to anyone who has health questions. They suggested I should take her to the doc so we went on Friday afternoon. I had been giving Daisy some panadol to bring down the temp but I didn't give her a dose before going to Doc cause I wanted them to see how high her temp was getting. While we were at the doc it got up to 39.9degrees. She was not her usual bubbly self. It was not nice. The doc discovered she had an ear infection so he put her on antibiotics. She has continued teething and her two front teeth are coming through now. She won't look like a dracula after all. So with all these things together Daisy has had a rough week!
Last Thursday was my first day back at work and Graham was on Daddy day care duties. It was a shame that Daisy was sick on my first day at work. She was pretty miserable by the sounds. This week should be better. I am working one day a week for the first 7 weeks of this term. I quite liked going back last Thursday. I had a good day but I was exhausted by the end of it. I have been getting up to Daisy at least once each night for the last week. Not for long but enough to wake me up. She has also been coughing which wakes me up too. Last night was our first full nights sleep for a week. No I am not complaining just informing! :)
So Daisy is on the mend. She is feeling better. The temp has gone. Her teeth are giving her a bit of trouble but I haven't needed to give her panadol since yesterday afternoon so that is a good sign.
