Since I last wrote Daisy has advanced in developing the skill of crawling. She can now commando crawl - ie - wriggle forward on her belly using her arms to help pull her forward. She is getting quite good at this now and can scoot towards things that she would like to play with - Sam's tail is no longer safe! She is also getting up on her hands and knees and rocking back and forth. She hasn't figured out how to coordinate the movement of her hands and knees yet though. She has even pulled herself up plank style so just her toes and her hands are touching and none of her legs or tummy are - Strong Girl - pilates teachers all over the world would me amazed!!! We have gone into watching mode checking out things that need to be moved or locked. Won't be long 'til she is on the move big time.
Daisy started pointing today - she is using her index finger to point but not at particular things yet. She is getting more teeth too. Her two teeth on either side of her middle bottom teeth are poking through. This has made Daisy love the feeling of biting - she has been getting great pleasure from biting Graham and I. She has even left marks on me!! A cuddle when she is tired or frustrated is not safe from a bite - she cuddles in and then ........ ouch!!!!
It's only ten more sleeps til Andrew and Jamie get home. We are sooooo excited about seeing them after 6 months of travel. They are gonna love to see Daisy. She is so different from last time they saw her. It will amaze them. We've missed them heaps! We are going up to the GC next weekend to stay with my brother Mark and his family. We are gonna go to the airport to see Andrew and Jamie when they arrive on 9th October. Can't wait to see all the family - this time it will just be mum and dad missing (they will take over the camper van travel for a couple more weeks).
So - enough news for now. There are some more photos on the September photos slide show. Enjoy!
